Craft Coffee

Specialty coffee, artisanal coffee, what’s it all about? It’s really about enjoying what’s in your brew. In a region, famous for Tea, we believe that coffee and tea drinkers can coexist peacefully with one another. The word crafting may not be familiar to you. After all we are not crafting a piece of furniture, but what we are crafting is a culture – a culture of coffee. We want anyone in any place from the village to the city to know more about what’s in their cup. Coffee is no longer just a generic drink that kept us going through the war times. It should be appreciated as something that brings us together as a community. We’re not competing with the tea, industry or the tea culture. We want a place at the table to share the incredible value of the coffee bean. Anyone who knows their tea, they know that the time of cultivation, the roasting process, and the varieties are so important to the flavor. Coffee is the same. We need to know – how is it cultivated? How is it processed? What are the varieties? Why does it taste bitter? Why does it taste smooth? When do you add milk and when do you drink it black? Do you need an expensive machine or can you just make it on the campfire? These are all good questions and this is why we have the word CRAFT. We are creating a culture of coffee that can be enjoyed right in your kitchen or right in your backyard without a fancy machine. We want you to know how to do it and to appreciate and value every farmer who has invested much of their passion in their heart and into planting that being so that you could enjoy what’s in your cup.
